Twitter, Final Four Teams Launch Auto-Response Video Cards For First Time In Sports

Prior to this weekend’s Final Four semifinal matchups, Twitter and all four schools launched their own auto-response video cards for when fans Tweet at the teams basketball Twitter handles.

According to social media company, it’s the first time sports teams have directly replied to users in this fashion.

Starting on Friday, Twitter users who Tweeted a prompt message — like the one below from Oregon — will receive a reply from the team account with a Thank You’ message from players or a head coach.

Below are two responses to fans’ tweets earlier today from both Gonzaga and North Carolina, teams that along with Oregon and South Carolina, are battling it out on social media throughout the next few days up until Monday night’s National Championship game.
