For the first time ever, a high level Spanish sports league will broadcast live a full game through Facebook.

Real Madrid – Laboral Kutxa Baskonia will become the first ever live ACB game on Facebook. Ranked second and fourth in the Liga Endesa standings, they will face 9pm CET on Wednesday 18th in the last game of the Round 33 of the Liga Endesa.

Real Madrid, led by players such as Sergio Rodriguez, Sergio Llull, Rudy Fernandez or Gustavo Ayon, is aiming for a win that keeps the team in the chase of the first position and home court advantage in the upcoming Playoffs starting next week. Meanwhile, Laboral Kutxa Baskonia, led by Darius Adams, Mike James, Adam Hanga or Ioannis Bourousis will try to steal a win on the road in their first game after their historical participation in Euroleague Final Four last weekend.

The first ever Facebook live event will be a full broadcast with scoreboard, replays and an Internet fan approach in the live commentary. Journalist and youtuber Roc Massaguer “Outconsumer” will be the color commentator.

With this broadcast ACB keeps focusing in growth of their Social Network profiles, with more than 590,000 aggregated fans in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. Right now, Facebook official page has more than 183,000 fans and grows at a pace of over 40% a year.

The live broadcast will be available on ACB’s official Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/ACBCOM), although limited to Spanish territory because of TV rights.
