1. What is your elevator pitch?
The concept of Human-Machine Interaction might make you think of Terminator, or maybe of a cuddly Google autonomous car (which, by the way, looks like a Koala. Seriously??).
Whichever is the case, the fact is robots are already among us, helping us achieve things once thought impossible, and guess what? This is just the beginning.
Imagine that you could have a training machine able to control the concentric and eccentric phases of every movement to the very tiniest little detail, while collecting all your session’s data at the same time. Wouldn’t that be interesting?
Enter KINEO, a multi-method robotic machine for training and rehabilitation that interacts with the end-user by measuring, controlling and adapting the load in real time using a variety of ways: Over-maximal eccentric in closed kinetic chain, isometric in open kinetic chain… The combinations are endless! It is not an exaggeration to say that KINEO is hoping to raise the bar in both rehabilitation and training standards.
2. Problem & Solution
In physical conditioning as well as in functional recovery, traditional workout resistances like elastics, water or weights, have often had some limits for athletes and patients alike. For example, the same load at different angles of workout might represent a threat to a recently injured joint. No training and rehabilitation equipment so far has been able to safely and effectively manage to adapt the load along the movement, thus minimizing the risk of damaging it further.
GLOBUS is pleased to announce that things have changed!
By combining an electric motor with two computers, KINEO allows you to have total control over the resistance used in your rehab or training sessions in each phase of the movement. Do you wish the load in the concentric phase (when the muscle shortens) and the load in the eccentric phase (when the muscle lengthens) to be different?
Or do you wish to increase and decrease the load several times at multiple angles adjusting it to the different needs of each athlete or patient?
KINEO can do it for you. KINEO is by all means the only training equipment out there that can realistically reproduce all the known methods of training, such as isotonic (with/without inertia), elastic, isometric, isokinetic, viscous and variable load.
3. Market – your target market and the overall market
KINEO has been designed to meet the needs of professional physiotherapists, trainers and coaches, with particular focus on top sports clubs, rehabilitation clinics, universities, and research institutes. KINEO’s ideal user is a sports club or a fitness centre betting on the latest technology available on the market in order to boost their results, revenue, performance, reputation and image. KINEO’s end-user will have access to the most complete and effective range of training programs as well as test options.
KINEO is suitable to small facilities too. Despite being very compact, KINEO offers leg extension, leg curl, pulley and squat stations. KINEO is a veritable one-stop hi-tech laboratory!
KINEO is a fine addition to GLOBUS’ wide range of existing products for ElectroTherapy, LaserTherapy, UltrasoundTherapy, MagnetoTherapy and TecarTherapy. Highly reliable and safe, GLOBUS’ products offer the latest technology at affordable prices and with a top-notch post-sale service. GLOBUS also serves the household market with a wide range of products for fitness, health and beauty.
4. Business Model – how do you make money?
GLOBUS works globally with a worldwide network of distributors. KINEO’s business model is different. At this early stage, GLOBUS is involved in numerous partnership and co-marketing operations, almost letting KINEO promote itself. Yes, KINEO is that good. Selected sports clubs, universities and research centres have been training with KINEO for a while now, realizing first-hand the full potential of this revolutionary rehabilitation and training equipment. The ROI of these partnerships is value-based and it is spent by GLOBUS during its workshop and training sessions, in its communication, and in further R&D projects. If we had a claim, that would certainly be “Just try it.
