One team that NFL fans come to expect to see in the playoffs are the Seattle Seahawks. They have a star quarterback and stellar defense, and the people who fill CenturyLink Field arguably make up the best fan base.
The Seahawks fan base has become dubbed “the 12s,” representing the 12th man that is with the players on the field.
Now, Seahawks fans all around the world can raise their own virtual 12 flag. To access the augmented reality experience, fans will need to download the team’s updated mobile app and also be in possession of an actual 12 Flag or the 12 Rally Cards being distributed at the team stores.

With the 12 Flag or 12 Rally card on a flat surface and the smartphone camera pointed toward the number, the virtual flag will appear on the app developed by YinzCam. The volume buttons can be used to raise and lower the flag. Images can shared on social media using the hashtags #Seahawks or #WeAre12.
The Seahawks invited all of their fans to raise the virtual flag together at 12:12 p.m. PT on Friday on the eve of their playoff road game in the divisional round against the Atlanta Falcons. Fans rose to the occasion.
