After we recently featured Rent Like A Champion, they had the opportunity to be on Shark Tank where they were able to make a deal with not just one, but two sharks.

To recap, Rent Like A Champion is an online company for college football fans to easily rent space with friends and family to attend games.

Rent Like A Champion made a deal with Mark Cuban and Chris Sacca for $200,000 for 10% of their company, with the Sharks each investing $100,000 and getting 5%.

Going into the “tank”, Mike Doyle, CEO, and Drew Mitchell, co-founder, were practicing their pitch and talked about the ideal situation they wanted to walk out with.

“[It] would be to have both Chris and Mark invest. Chris got what we were doing right away, and he did the work to pull Mark into the deal, which was incredible. It could not have worked out any better for us. I’m happy to say that we have closed the deal, and Mark and Chris have both been incredibly plugged in. They’re constantly sending us new ideas, making strategic introductions, and doing whatever they can to help us succeed,” said Doyle.

Since making the deal, the website has had a huge spike in traffic with people listing their homes and renters looking to book properties.

With Mark and Chris working with them, Rent Like A Champion has huge goals for the future.

“We want to have a presence in every major college football town around the country. After that, we plan to start expanding to other major events in small towns – NASCAR races, PGA events, and more. We expect this experience to dramatically change the trajectory of our company, and we can’t wait to see what comes next,” said Doyle.

The episode of Shark Tank aired on Oct 30 and can be watched online at ABC.com.
