Is there a more motivating event in the world than the Olympic Games? Every two years, mostly from the comfort of our homes, we watch athletes in peak condition perform for our country. For this month’s Winter Games, Peloton and NBC Olympics are helping viewers get an Olympic-like workout from home. They will be livestreaming indoor cycling classes from the NBC Olympics’ studio in PyeongChang, South Korea.
With help from special guests like former Olympians, master instructor Robin Arzon will lead four classes streamed directly to Peloton members. It will actually mark the company’s first broadcast outside of their New York City studio.
“We are thrilled to bring the prestige and adrenaline of NBC’s Olympic broadcast operation to our members and allow them to connect with the excitement in PyeongChang in a completely unique way,” Peloton president William Lynch said in a statement. “Partnering with NBC to stream live classes from PyeongChang, led by our inimitable Master Instructor Robin Arzon, is a historic event for Peloton that our members are going to love.”

The classes will be broadcast daily at 6 a.m. ET, Feb. 16-19.
The activation makes sense as NBCUniversal made a strategic investment in Peloton in May. This was part of Peloton’s $325 million series E financing round.
“We’re excited to work with Peloton on this unique immersive experience for riders to train in the glow of our magnificent broadcast studio in PyeongChang,” Gary Zenkel, President of NBC Olympics, said in a statement. “We look forward to sharing the energy and adrenaline from our PyeongChang broadcast center with Peloton’s active and enthusiastic ever-growing subscriber base.”
