SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The San Francisco 49ers today announced a partnership with Uber to create an exclusive Uber Zone at Levi’s Stadium, providing guests with a seamless pickup and drop-off experience for all 49ers home games and third-party stadium events. The first-ever dedicated curbside Uber Zone for a stadium will be activated for all major events at Levi’s Stadium, beginning with the 2016 preseason opener against the Houston Texans on Sunday, August 14th.
“In our continual search to enhance the fan experience at Levi’s Stadium, we welcome Uber as a 49ers partner after their successful integration during Super Bowl 50 that showed us first-hand that they are the gold standard in their industry,” said 49ers President Al Guido. “We believe this unique partnership and our dedicated Uber Zone will enable more fans to take advantage of their ride-sharing technology while traveling to and from Levi’s Stadium with more convenience.”
Guests using Uber pre-event for curbside drop-off will be let out in the newly designated Uber Zone, located in the northwest corner of the Tasman Drive and Great America Parkway intersection. Guests using Uber for post-event pick-up will exit out of Intel Gate A. Returning to the same designated Uber Zone, located in the northwest corner of the Tasman Drive and Great America Parkway intersection, guests will request a ride via the Uber app. Event staff will be onsite to assist guests meeting drivers and securing rides.
“Uber is proud to partner with our hometown team to ensure that San Francisco 49ers fans can connect to a reliable, convenient ride at the tap of a button,” said Uber’s Bay Area General Manager, Wayne Ting.
To enjoy $15 off a ride to Levi’s Stadium, first-time users can enter the promo code 49ERS courtesy of the San Francisco 49ers.
