Quiz! Can you name the 50 most expensive English footballers EVER?

Important note: You may notice that this quiz has 56 answers rather than 50. That’s because six of these players are so good – or at least so well-travelled – that they appear twice in this list of the biggest transfers involving English players.Yet we can assure you there are 50 footballers below; specifically, the 50 players from these shores who’ve commanded the highest individual fees ever. (Although we’re writing this in May 2018, so inevitably the transfer market will soon go crazy and someone will pay £52m for Scott Dann.)For now, the record stands at £49m. Small beer in today's market, although it does apparently earn us all the right to judge that player’s tattoos/car/house/sink/breakfast etc. Because really there’s nothing else in the world to get angry about. Now, 10 minutes are on the clock to name these players based on their fee, purchasing club and position. Please tell us your score @FourFourTwo – we’ll retweet the best, if you don’t give answers away – and challenge some pals at the same time. Good luck!(Note: Adblockers can stop you seeing our quizzes – please turn them off. Thanks)More time-killing quizzes on FourFourTwo.com
