BFB Champions: How to train up your squad like Klopp
By this point we hope you’ll have got to grips with the oh-so-addictive BFB Champions: Global Kick-Off – but if you haven’t been introduced to the new mobile management game, then head here for our intro.
Your aim is to take on the world… so you might want a bit of help in trying to do that. That’s where FFT comes in.
Before you even think about tactics, it’s definitely a good idea to get in some training sessions where possible (come on, make Kloppo proud) – and there are a number of different ways you can do this.
1. Team training
Does what it says on the tin: all of your players go away to boost their experience points… but some will come back better than others. In our example, all of our strikers were boosted (lord knows they needed it), while the rest of the squad lagged behind. Those extra points can be used to boost their attributes.
2. Training camps
You can send up to three of your stars off at any one time, for six-hour periods during which they can’t play any matches for you. If you’ve got Training Camp Tickets to spare then they’ll gain more experience points, but the Trial option is free and is a vital thing to do while you’re not playing the game (like when you’re sleeping, for example, unless you’re properly addicted).
3. Individual training
Just pick one of your players to play the mini-keepy-uppy game, and they’ll earn experience points and increase their level. You can toggle the rate at which they pick up exp. points, which will reduce your available training points accordingly (we've got 39 of those in the example above, and this exercise requires nine).
4. Coach training
When you play one of the three daily mini-games, you’ll earn points which are then converted to coaching badges. These come in various grades, and you can use them to level up individual players to help them fulfil their potential. They’ll cost you a bit of e-money, but are worth it. We chose to use five ‘D’ rank goalkeeping badges on our man ‘J. Bart’ (the player names are our favourite part of BFB, we shan’t lie).
5. Spend those points
When you've done all of these things, you'll have some lovely attribute points to improve your players. In the example above we've got 16 to boost the areas that really matter to our defender (such as, er, 'defence'). Or maybe we'll just reinvent him as a swashbuckling goalscorer...
