Lacrosse apparel powerhouse, Boathouse Sports has launched a 3D Customization tool that allows for real time rendering of your custom lacrosse uniforms – complete with your unique logo.

The tool is available for men’s, women’s, and youth apparel and gives access to a pallet of 30 sublimated colors and background patterns – putting you in full control of the process right from your computer. Doug Tibbetts, President of Boathouse Sports, said “the tool came out of a desire to more deeply involve their customers in the design process and that the “response to date has been terrific.”
Those familiar with lacrosse, know how intricate lacrosse uniforms can get. If you’re not familiar, head to any lacrosse tournament this summer and you will see animal print, argyle, camo, tie dye – the sky is the limit. Needless to say – some lacrosse players love their gear. This will give Boathouse a leg up as more and more lacrosse apparel manufacturers have entered the market in the last few years, mirroring the explosive growth of lacrosse as a whole.
What could this lead to? 3D modeling of athletes wearing full sets of the custom gear? Virtual reality interactivity? Boathouse may have been the first mover in what could become a custom uniform breakthrough.
