March is a magical time where we spring forward, embrace the madness that is the NCAA College Basketball Tournament and start to see signs that winter will eventually end. For many of us, this means figuring out how to skip work to watch the first rounds on Thursday and Friday and then figuring out how to host a watch party over the weekend to see what teams advance to the Sweet Sixteen.
This time in March is also a tricky time for the weather across the country. Some areas are starting to warm up with the longer daylight hours and others are still stuck in the cold grasp of winter. So not all March Madness viewers will be able to fully bust out their summer sports viewing operations and barbecue on the back porch just yet.
However, for the outdoor fan there is an all-weather television option that can work in pretty much any environment. So whether you’re a fan of 12th seeded Buffalo grilling in the cold, or a diehard supporter of 8th seeded SDSU soaking up the rays in sunny San Diego, the SunBriteTV has you covered.
We had the opportunity to try out one of SunBriteTV’s latest sets: The Signature Series outdoor LED HDTV 46″ model. With this television weatherproofing was taken very seriously. Every screw required for assembly, no matter the size, had a snug rubber washer to block any openings that water or dust may be able to use to slip inside. Additionally, the entire backside was able to be covered up by encapsulating panels that protect the input and power slots from the outside elements.
After the relatively quick assembly was complete, we tested the SunBriteTV to see how it lived up to its own name and billing. We placed the TV in a sunny location next to a window so it would receive direct sunlight and then turned it on. The results were just as expected based on the TV’s name. Visible and clear pictures were displaying even in the direct sun.
We also tested this 46” Signature Series SunBriteTV at night as a regular indoor television and with some simple adjustments to the brightness (at night you can really tell how truly bright this TV is) it made for an enjoyable HD viewing experience.
So for fans who like to make their sports viewing a social experience, considering a SunBriteTV from their Signature Series could be a wise move. It is designed for permanent outdoor installation, has a powder-coated aluminum exterior and can handle temperatures from -24 to 122 degrees fahrenheit. This means University of Arizona fans living in Tucson during the summer are in luck, as well as those hardy Syracuse Orange fans living in upstate New York.
Additionally, these SunBrite televisions can be paired with an HD all-weather wireless transceiver to connect to your cable or satellite box, Blu Ray player or DV-R.
While some fans in the colder parts of the country don’t often associate March Madness with outdoor parties, a SunBriteTV can help change that. And as all sports fans know, it’s a 24/7/365 undertaking to root for your favorite teams. So a TV that can withstand the weather throughout the year could be a vital cog in any die-hard sport fan’s repertoire.
