“We selected Blast as an official technology partner to help deliver a leading-edge player development solution that seamlessly integrates with our academy programs,” Scott Novell, President of Golf Channel Academy said in a statement. “The GCA Game Tracker allows us to move player development beyond our academy walls and it places students in direct contact with their coaches for skills assessment, video upload, and real-time feedback through our smartphone app. This is how the next generation of golfers will learn to play, compete and win.”

Added Michael Fitzpatrick, Chief Executive Officer at Blast Motion in a statement: “We’re excited to be working with the Golf Channel Academy. By combining one of the most expansive golf instruction networks in North America with Blast technology, we’ve created the next level of coaching and player development. It’s innovations like this that allow coaches to quickly analyze an athlete’s performance and deliver personalized player development insights anywhere, anytime.”

Once Game Tracker is completed, it’ll be available at 87 Golf Channel Academy locations across 28 states. More than 250 GCA coaches and 450-plus Proponent Group instructors will have use of the web portal, too.

As a further service upgrade for academies, coaches and athletes, Blast Motion’s fully-featured suite of software services will also be accessible. Blast Connect will give academies additional tools to help manage and automate their businesses while coaches will be able to review an athlete’s practice sessions, provide remote coaching and assign workout regiments, among other integrations. For players, Blast Connect ties in with the the company’s golf sensor, capturing and uploading putting and swinging metrics.
