Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon may have had the most tech-centric Slam Dunk attempt from Saturday’s NBA All-Star Slam Dunk contest, but it was DeAndre Jordan who kept it socially-focused.
Rapper and celebrity DJ Khaled, who documented Jordan’s entire first dunk on Snapchat, held a basketball in his other hand for the Los Angeles Clippers center to grab and dunk following a leap over a turntable setup. The first dunk of the night scored a 41 from judges.

Khaled can be seen asking ‘He made it?’ to no one in particular three times before the clip ends. Those on Twitter following the Slam Dunk contest weren’t the least bit surprised to see Khaled post the dunk on Snapchat, a social platform he has gravitated towards over the past few years.

Throughout the All-Star weekend festivities, Snap, Inc. also collaborated with the NBA to create a specific All-Star Bitmoji pack in addition to a Lens for the NBA All-Star Game, both first partnerships of their kind between Snap and the league.
Charlotte Hornets forward Frank Kaminsky was even seen on All-Star Saturday Night sporting the still-new Snapchat Spectacles. It’s a piece of social hardware that has taken the sports and social world by storm over the past three months.
Followers of Bleacher Report’s Snapchat account, where Kaminsky was doing a social takeover throughout the night, could see the events through his point-of-view.
