As the 2012-13 season officially begins on Friday night, the Washington Wizards are hoping to take the NBA’s acclaimed social media prowess to the next level.
In an effort to reach out to fans, the Wizards are offering 2013-14 season tickets to the winner of a new season-long fantasy competition. According to the team, each Wizards game will feature a “hot player” and choose three statistics about them, such as points, rebounds and assists.
The fantasy game involves predicting that player’s game totals before tip-off. The closer one gets to the actual game total, the more points earned. Each game will provide a new opportunity to earn points and prizes will also be awarded to the monthly winners.
