WaitTime, which has artificial intelligence technology to estimate times of how long lines are for concessions, restrooms, and entryways while providing data about fan traffic and congestion, announced Tuesday that Jeffrey Jordan is becoming a partner.
Jordan, the oldest son of Michael Jordan who played college basketball at the University of Central Florida and also Illinois, will lead up much of WaitTime’s sponsorship and advertising efforts. He has experience in global brand marketing, sports marketing and product management while specializing in developing global campaigns, managing athlete, influencer and brand relationships as well as product development for future sport lifestyle and performance.
WaitTime’s partnership is with Jordan Avakian Group, which was co-founded by Jeffrey Jordan and Sevan Avakian.
“From the very first demo, Sevan and I knew WaitTime was destined to be a staple in the sports industry,” Jordan said in a statement. “After meeting with (WaitTime founder and CEO) Zachary Klima and team, the subsequent conversations only furthered our excitement to align and create opportunities for growth. We look forward to creating deals with WaitTime and expanding the reach of this profound technology. WaitTime is unlike any growth start-up company our group has witnessed, with the potential to revolutionize the industry.”
Klima, who had previously met with Michael Jordan to show WaitTime to the Charlotte Hornets owner, has already seen the Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers adopt the technology as he negotiates with several other domestic and international teams.

While Jeffrey Jordan has more experience in the sports marketing side of the business, Avakian is an attorney and counsels clients in a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and corporate governance.
“Striking a deal with WaitTime meant a lot to Jeff and me,” Avakian said in a statement. “When starting our company we knew that we wanted to align ourselves with businesses that were disrupting markets, especially the sports industry. WaitTime is a company that is changing the way fans experience professional sports. Their groundbreaking technology combined with our strong ties to the sports industry made this deal a no-brainer.”
WaitTime uses artificial intelligence to count the number of people in certain areas and determined if they are passing through or waiting in line. This information is communicated to fans via in-stadium signage and mobile apps.
“The addition of Jeff and Sevan as partners in WaitTime expands our vision to bring together leaders in technology, branding and sports,” Klima said in a statement. “There are few better people I can think of to work alongside our existing partners as we continue to innovate fan and stadium experiences.”
