VR Golf Online was released Wednesday on Steam, enabling users to experience 36 different golf courses in virtual reality.
After the HTC Vive headset is placed over the user’s eyes, the simulation game gives the player the option to select whether they want to play single or a match and choose from a cast of five character designs and handicap. Then, after selecting which hole to start on, the player heads to the green.

Using a handheld device that is attached to the headset, players are able apply real physics to drive, slice, and putt on courses with different fairways, bunkers and water hazards. Through the headset, the player can see their ball roll into their hole (or miss). And users are able to connect with other VR golfers worldwide in near real-time.
The game from Kakao Games was developed by Maum Golf and supports eight different languages — English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
