Volt Athletics Raises Over $770,000 To Bring Total Funding To $3 Million


Seattle-based sports performance training company Volt Athletics is using its new round of funding, which totals over $770,000, to invest more in strategic relationships and develop new technologies, including ones for its proprietary intelligent training system and app. The funding increases Volts total raised amount to $3 million.

“We’re seeing technology’s role in athletic development grow globally,” Dan Giuliani, Volt Chief Executive Officer and co-founder said in a statement. “Athletes are demanding more than tracking apps, and we’ve been proving that our intelligent training system offers an affordable and effective solution for athletes looking to train the right way for their sport.”

Volt provides sport-specific workouts and conditioning programs that adapt to athletes and consumers during their exercises. In 2016, Volt entered the consumer market and according to Giuliani, the latest round will allow the company to “aggressively expand our impact to more athletes.”

The five-year-old company currently works with 3,000 teams and over 60,000 high school, college and professional athletes around the world. Some of the more notable users of Volt include the U.S. National Football Team, University of Michigan, University of Nebraska, Clemson University and the Red Bull Crashed Ice Team USA.
