Golf may be a game founded centuries ago, but the sport has been greatly impacted by technology in the last decade. From club technology to better golf balls and more, the game has been revolutionized by various technological advancments. Yet, there still has never been one comprehensive solution for players to automatically track personal data and statistics during a round.

That’s where Arccos comes in.

Using patented GPS technology, Arccos devices attach to the end of your club (through the opening at the top of the grip) and seamlessly capture your round data without impacting the feel of your game. Arccos comes with a set of 14 sensors, one for every club in your bag, and they are so light that they have no impact on your swing. After attaching them to the end of your clubs, just download the iPhone app and start getting relevant statistics in real time to help improve your game.

Initially an idea from Callaway, Arccos has been built out by a talented team of Ivy League engineers, designers, PhD’s, and rocket scientists. Even the name Arccos is a credit to the advanced mathematics used in designing the technology.

Using Bluetooth technology, Arccos tracks the distance and trajectory of every shot and maps them out via bird’s eye view of the golf course. After you finish your round, you can review each shot from that day instantly. With Arccos, you can track things like:

  • Overall performance
  • Club distance averages
  • Short game statistics
  • Fairways Hit
  • Greens in Regulation
  • More

Once you’ve played a few rounds, the app will have enough benchmarking data to be able to comparatively show you how you’re doing on distance and performance on a club-by-club basis. This allows you to easily figure out the areas of your game that need the most work and more appropriately tailor your practice time.

Arccos is currently available for the pre-order price of $299 for a set of 14 club sensors. The iPhone app is free that goes along with the data.

“Arccos is an incredible product that golfers are going to love. It not only captures all your stats, but also quantifies all your strengths and weaknesses, giving you tour-level analysis, instantly and automatically,” Sal Syed, CEO and co-founder of Arccos, said. “This information can change your game because you can now, for the first time, focus your improvement efforts in the areas that you’ll save the most strokes.”
