Under Armour is having a good month. On the heels of Jordan Spieth’s brilliant Masters run, the NBA named Stephen Curry the 2014-15 MVP. In Steph’s honor, Under Armour is set to release a limited edition Curry One MVP PE signature shoe. The Curry One is Steph’s first signature shoe, and the company describes the shoe as being designed for the game’s most unguardable player.

It’s hard to argue with that statement, but that may not translate to your local rec league. The shoe is lightweight, with advanced cushioning that absorbs impact and converts it into energy, and has excellent ankle support, as Steph can attest. The MVP colorway will retail for $120, and will be released June 20th on UnderArmour.com.

It’s a good time to be Under Armour. The company just recently struck gold with Spieth winning the the Masters on April 12th. Spieth initially signed a 4-year deal in January 2013, and in a stroke of good luck Under Armour renegotiated and ripped up the original deal in January of this year.

Spieth was signed to a 10-year deal, and while terms were not disclosed the deal is said to contain many performance-based incentives. The deal guarantees that the 21-year old golf phenom will wear UA gear from head to toe. UA’s golf line currently includes an SPF 30 polo shirt (retail $75), pants (retail $80) that stretch to allow hip flexion, and shoes that are currently sold out due to the increased interest from Spieth’s recent success. The shoes are expected to restock soon on the company’s website.
