With football season in full swing, tailgating has been a mainstay in parking lots around stadiums all over the country. But how can you make your tailgates better than your rivals a few spots over? Get some of the latest tech trends of tailgating.
#1. iGrill – Burgers are a must-have at any tailgate – but there are a lot of distractions in those parking lots and you don’t have time to check the meat to make sure it cooks to perfection. The iGrill (currently on sale for $79.99 at Amazon) sends the burger temperatures right to your iPhone or iPad within 200 feet of your grill. You no longer have to slave over your burgers; you can simply pop out your phone and check the temperature and tend to them when necessary.
#2. ZAGGsparq – How are you going to check the temperature of your burgers with iGrill if your phone is dead? Phones have become a crucial part of the game-day experience. It’s necessary to check scores from out-of-town games and to post your awesome tailgating pictures to Facebook and Twitter, making your friends at home jealous. So make sure your phone never dies with the ZAGGsparq ($62 at Amazon.) It’s a portable charging device with enough power to charge up to four USB devices. It’s lightweight, small and will be handy when your phone’s power bar gets into the red.
#3. Jawbone Jambox – You can’t be a part of that lame tailgate party without music. Using your car radio drains the battery and dealing with any type of sound system just gets annoying. The Jawbone Jambox (Currently on sale for $166 at Amazon) takes the hassle out of it all. It’s a fully wireless speaker that can connect to any Bluetooth device (phone, computer, iPod). It has a 10-hour rechargeable battery life and the sound quality is fantastic.
#4. BeerPager – Don’t you hate it when you set down your beer to play a round of cornhole and then you forget where you put it? Or when a beer is sitting on a table and you can’t remember if it’s yours or your buddy’s? The BeerPager ($19.95 on its website) takes care of that problem. It’s essentially a drink holder that comes equipped with a remote. Hit the button on the remote and the BeerPager will flash lights and play a sound unique to your beer.
#5. Cruizin’ Cooler – These have been around for a while now, but they continue to amaze me. The Cruizin’ Cooler (Starting at $350 on its website) allows you to sit on your beer cooler and ride it around like a scooter. It seems silly, but what if you and your friends weren’t able to get parking spots near each other before the game? You can just hop onto your Cruizin’ Cooler and ride over to their spot, fully loaded with a 30-pack. Trust me, the guy with the motorized cooler is always the coolest person at games.
