A leader in voice-enabled social television, Tok.tv, has announced that they are releasing their new “Tok Social Button” SDK that makes all sport apps social, while monetizing through TV-synced advertising.
What is nice about this new product is that the SDK works as a social TV layer for all sports apps, allowing users to socialize with their friends. People who use the new product will be able to talk, chat, make fun sounds, and take a “social selfie” while watching a game.
“The TOK Social Button has a key function: transform any sport app into a social hub, bringing the emotion of watching sport together to fans of every sport”, said TOK.tv’s Chief Executive Officer, Fabrizio Capobianco, in a press release
As a marketing tool, advertisers will have the opportunity for significant revenue using the Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) technology, which the new SDK features. The Tok Social Button will be able to recognize advertising on TV and deliver synced ads on mobile devices using the ACR tech.
With the grand success of the previous Tok.tv apps, such as TOK Baseball and the official Juventus, many teams are requesting a social layer in their apps in order to enhance viewing experience. As of now, TOK Social Button will be available for Juventus FC, Palermo Calcio, Deltatre, Microsoft, XSFN, Sqor, Mondogoal, Stylum, and MYagonism, offering new opportunities for sports apps to connect and engage users.
