Worried about missing a beat? Don’t be – Adidas will track your every move with their recently updated FIT SMART fitness band. From marathons to yoga, to house chores and stagnant office work, FIT SMART aims to keep you connected, motivated and in sync with your fitness goals.

While a health enthusiast may be tracking their every move mid-workout, Adidas believes the same commitment should be embraced all day. As a fitness companion, the FIT SMART shares real-time data, revealing daily habits, both good and bad, that you may have never noticed. Through instant wrist heart monitoring and calorie counting metrics, the FIT SMART band will help users understanding their intensity levels of physical activity throughout the day. As a result, users are able to process their own personal data to apply to their training regimens in order to reach their fitness goals and potential.

While the FIT SMART wristband, may seem like any other fitness tracker on the market, Adidas has made some clutch adjustments to ease the goal setting and data obtaining process. For starters, say goodbye to the chest band heart monitor. Adidas has added to the wristband hardware to track a user’s heart rate from their wrist.  Through the Train & Run app, compatible with both Android and IOS, your heart rate will instantly sync up to your profile and allow you to analyze your intensity based on your daily or weekly goals.

Another great addition to the FIT SMART software is the integration of training programs created by Adidas coaches. From gym newbies, to “average joes,” to fitness experts, Adidas is determined to influence any level of training through a variety of free training regimens in the app. Whether it be your first time in a gym, marathon training, strength conditioning, or a pickup basketball game, Adidas desires to be the go to fitness tracking solution for healthy lifestyle goals across the board.

Although Adidas has some tough competition up against similar fitness trackers like Nike’s Fuel Band, Garmin’s Vivo Fit, and Polar, its software and hardware updates are giving Adidas a bit of an edge in the fitness world. Providing data and suggesting solutions, the FIT SMART may become a one-stop-shop for any individual committed to living a healthy lifestyle. While this gives consumers a few more options when deciding to invest in a fitness tracker, it also adds a little bit more pressure on personal trainers and gyms to compete with the training programs Adidas is providing.
