Sumo Wrestling History Made With Live Stream In Virtual Reality By Fuji TV

Sumo wrestling history was made when tournaments featuring the centuries-old sport were live streamed for the first time in virtual reality last week, according to Fuji TV.

The early portion of the 41st Grand Sumo Tournament in Tokyo were live streamed in VR on YouTube and www.grandsumo.jp for 4 1/2 hours leading up to Fuji TV’s live broadcast of the final match.

“You will be impressed with real sumo wrestlers’ powerful and dynamic matches,” read a post from Fuji TV’s Facebook page.
