STYR Labs Turns Health And Fitness Wearable Data Into Customized Nutrition

While there are a plethora of fitness trackers and countless applications for your smartphone on the market to help you reach and exceed your fitness goals, how useful is the data you receive? Sure, you can brag to your friends about your 27,000 step count day, or how many calories you burned, but unless you can translate your data into meaningful, personal and tailored health recommendations, your step count is nothing more than a number.

STYR Labs, a Scottsdale, Arizona based company founded in 2014, aims to change the fitness tracking device industry. On July 18th of this month, the company launched two fitness devices and an app that collects the user’s health data and creates personalized multivitamins and protein blends based on the user’s fitness goals and needs.

STYR’s Activity Tracker is a wireless wristband that tracks steps, calories and distance 24/7, and connects directly to your smartphone. The data from the tracker helps build a custom, non-GMO, vegetarian, sugar, gluten and dairy-free multivitamin set that STYR sends directly to you. In addition to the Activity Tracker, STYR has released a wireless scale, which sends data on not only the user’s body weight but also body fat, BMI, bone mass and water content to build custom protein packets. The protein packets are blended with probiotics and vitamins and come in flavors such as chocolate banana, lemon pound cake, toasted coconut and strawberry shortcake.

“The health and fitness industry is exploding with innovative activity trackers and applications as consumers become more serious about improving their health. What consumers need most though is a way to optimize performance by converting fitness and nutritional data into actual health products that will impact their goals,” said Paul Mackay, COO of STYR Labs. “Consumers want meaningful and validated data they can easily digest and interpret in ways that are personally meaningful to them. We believe natural single-serve vitamins and protein blends that are personalized to you are what the body needs to fuel a healthy lifestyle change or improve athletic performance.”

The consumer can purchase one of two starter kits on STYR’s website: the Multivitamin Starter Kit for $68, including the Activity Tracker and 15 vitamin packets, or the Protein Starter Kit for $78, including the wireless scale and two protein packets.
