Sportradar has signed a new data integration deal with Kinduct for the 2017-18 NBA season to provide teams with athletic performance data about their players.
Expanding on a multi-year data deal between Sportradar and the NBA set to begin this season, Sportradar will feed the data it collects about players through Kinduct’s Athlete Management System, bolstering one of the resources teams use to improve player performance.
Kinduct is the first athlete management system provider to integrate the Sportradar data, following Sportradar’s multimillion-dollar deal with the NBA announced last summer. The companies did not say whether this is an exclusive deal and financial terms were not disclosed.
In a statement, Kinduct CEO Travis McDonough said the partnership will provide an additional set of tools in the form of data on which teams can act. Sportradar US Deputy President Laila Mintas said NBA teams that use Kinduct’s platform will gain a “winning advantage.”
“This secure and data rich arrangement will support better decision making, promote constant improvements and drive tangible actions that will help teams better prepare for game day,” the companies said in a press release.

Through Kinduct’s athlete management system, NBA teams can opt-in to receive customized reports and individual action plans about player performance.
Last year, Sportradar became the Official Provider of Real-Time NBA League Statistics to the NBA, which, beginning with the 2017 season, includes the collection and dissemination of statistical information about the NBA, WNBA and NBA Development League to league partners, teams, media companies, fans and betting houses in Europe, where sports betting is legal.
The deal is worth an estimated $250 million, according to Bloomberg.
