Sling TV Takes Next Step Offering First Pay-Per-View Event With UFC 214


Sling TV will offer its first pay-per-view event with a live stream of UFC 214: Cormier vs. Jones 2 on Saturday from the Honda Center in Anaheim.

Pre-orders for the event are available for $59.99 to new and existing customers of Sling TV, as they can watch it directly on the Sling TV app. By clicking on the UFC fight banner, fans will be able to see a new channel appear in the channel guide after purchasing the fight with event coverage beginning at 9:30 p.m. ET. Sling Blue customers can watch a live feed of the 8 p.m. ET fights on FXX by logging in to FXnetworks.com with their Sling TV credentials.

“Since we launched in 2015, we have focused on putting customers first, while pushing boundaries no other live OTT service has gone near,” Sling TV CEO Roger Lynch said in a statement. “Integrating UFC 214 directly into the Sling TV experience is the next step in Sling TV becoming a true cable replacement.”

UFC 214’s main card features light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier facing Jon Jones in a rematch as Jones looks to reclaim the title. In the co-main event, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will face Demian Maia. In the third title fight, Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino will meet Tonya Evinger with the winner becoming UFC women’s featherweight champion.
