The San Jose Earthquakes have introduced a new Innovation Advisory Board which is designed to advise the team executives on new and emerging technology trends that can improve the fan experience, increase brand awareness, improve player performance and deliver potential corporate partnerships to the club.
The board is made up of eight Silicon Valley residents with different backgrounds and experience in the technology industry. All of the members will provide a distinct perspective on their individual area of expertise.

“To be part of this board is an unique opportunity that I’m looking forward to,” Austin Noronha, Vice President of Growth Ventures & Innovation at Sony Corporation, said in a statement. “I am excited to help the Earthquakes make strides both on and of the field.”
In addition to Noronha, the board members include Ira Ehrenpreis, the Founder and Managing Parter of DBL Partners, a leading impact investing venture capital firm, Jeff Ota, a Senior Principal Engineer at the Intel Corporation and leads research and development teams in sports technology, Rachel Quon, a Marketing Associate at Costanoa Ventures, Nick Bartle, Pandora’s Chief Marketing Officer, Tracy Isacke, leader of Silicon Valley Bank’s Corporate Relationship Management Team, and Ian Anderson, a student at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
