The Sacramento Kings, who have one of the most technologically advanced arenas in the league in the Golden 1 Center and are one of the most technologically innovative teams, are hosting Tech Night on Wednesday.
Tech Night, which will be held during the Kings’ game against the Milwaukee Bucks, will feature innovations presented by teams partners that will help showcase creative ideas.
One of these ideas is presented by Lexus and will bring a first to Golden 1 Center. The Lexus LIT IS, a custom 2017 car wrapped in LED lights that is capable of displaying dynamic graphics, will make its first appearance at a major sporting event.

Another event featured on Tech Night is during halftime when Golden 1 Center will turn into a digital battleground as one of the world’s leading eSports champions will take on a local Sacramento tournament winner in a game of Super Smash Bros. on the NBA’s only 4K Ultra HD video board.
Then in the fourth quarter, the winner of Capitalize — the crowd sourced entrepreneurial contest for startups in the Sacramento area held by the Kings and Moneta Ventures — will be announced.
The contest saw many different ideas and innovations on how to improve healthcare, healthy food options and other consumer applications. The finalists of the competition are EicOsis Human Health, which created non-addictive medications, Text To Ticket Inc., which aims to reduce distracted driving, and Trifecta, Inc., an all-organic meal delivery service.
“We’re using technology to not only redefine the fan experience but also prove world-class entertainment both on and off the court,” Kings Chief Technology Officer Ryan Montoya said in a statement. “Being able to celebrate not only the innovations at Golden 1 Center, but also from around the region with our Capitalize contest makes Tech Night more meaningful.”
