Rickie Fowler is the sixth-ranked golfer on the PGA Tour and has won over $4.5 million just this year. One could say he’s enjoying success on the links.
That success, and Fowler’s overall career, has perhaps propelled Fowler to become a coach with Success Series, a new platform that connects the average person with sports icons who teach the skills of their game in virtual reality.
Success Series videos are viewed through a virtual reality app available for Android. Each lesson costs a few dollars and can be accessed on your phone, tablet, or computer, according to the press release. Lessons are also available in 2D video.
“To be involved in the world’s first ever VR sports coaching series is an incredible honour,” Fowler said in a statement. “This new technology will give everyone access to a unique platform and hopefully I’m able to assist the weekend golfer save a few strokes and make their overall game more enjoyable.”

So far, Fowler has created five lessons — three in VR and two in 2D video — showing fans how to get more yardage on drives and hit bunker shots; how to chip and putt; and overall game strategy. Within each lesson is also a “one-on-one” chat with Fowler about the steps he has taken and the help he has received to reach the pinnacle of professional golf.
Fowler is the first pro athlete to offer lessons via Success Series, which was founded by Australian entrepreneur Anthony Puntoriero.
“Our main aim was to create a unique experience for all golf lovers and also an incredible and informative way to provide a golf lesson,” Puntoriero said in a statement. “We’re really happy to have a platform that not only provides golfers with solutions but also enhances their experience with Rickie.”
