Parking Panda, a three-year-old, third-party parking solution company, is building its sports cliental. Their service allows customers to find and reserve guaranteed parking online, or through the iOS & Android app, for upcoming sporting events.

By finding and booking spots through Parking Panda, customers get exclusive online-only discounts at parking lots, garages, and other private spaces around the city for both daily or monthly parking for games, shows, events, and trips into the city. Even if a garage or lot sells out, by reserving with Parking Panda your space is pre-paid and guaranteed.

Essentially it is like an e-pass for a parking spot near a venue. Scope out the available spots near the game and reserve a guaranteed spot before getting there, therefore eliminating the stress of finding a spot when you arrive to the game. “We at Parking Panda recognize that parking can be a huge problem,” said CEO Nick Miller, “and we want to help fix this so fans can get back to enjoying the game.”

Parking Panda has already established a relationship with MLB.com to incorporate their system for most of the MLB teams so far, including adding their parking data within the “At The Ballpark” app. They also have a relationship with Atlanta Falcons so far, and since they are based in Baltimore, the Verizon Center in DC.

With these sports venues, Parking Panda is taking their parking inventory and putting it on the venue’s website so that the fan’s can easily use the system to find parking near the venue. It is a win-win situation for both sides by offering this online market place for parking near the venue, so Parking Panda feels their client list will continue to grow.

Now, they just announced a partnership with Target Center and it’s surrounding parking areas so that the fans can find parking easier near First Ave.  If you are in Minneapolis, you know that there really isn’t a dedicated parking lot for the Target Center, so effectively, they are digitizing ALL parking passes for one venue to third-party locations for the first time ever for a large sports venue.

The partnership with Parking Panda and Target Center allows guests to pre-purchase electronic parking passes for nearby parking lots and garages in advance to guarantee parking for games or events instead of searching on their own.

Parking Panda also works with Target Field, so this is perfect timing for everyone going to Minneapolis for the 2014 MLB Allstar Game.

“The best part for everybody is that the prices and availability are all guaranteed. There is going to be a lot less traffic and congestion, because everyone knows where they’re going ahead of time, and deeper integration on-site means eliminating the need for hang tags, cash transactions and anything else that slows down getting cars in and out of the location.”

With that in mind, be sure to either download the app or visit the Target Field parking page for information on the best places to park, and reserve your spot before the festivities!
