ParkHub And VenueNext Partner To Alleviate Parking Woes For Sports Fans

Many fans know all too well the dreaded experience of both finding and paying for parking at a major sports event. It’s perhaps the single worst part of game day for a passionate fan who just wants to tailgate, get into the venue and meet up with friends and family.

But hopefully these woes will be quelled by a recent partnership between two sports technology companies.

ParkHub, a company that designs hardware and software to help manage parking at sports and entertainment events, has announced a collaboration with VenueNext, a technology platform that provides venue operators with insights into guest behavior while their “context-aware” apps connect fans with services and information that a venue has to offer.

The work between VenueNext and ParkHub originally began at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA during the 2015 NFL season, including Super Bowl 50.

With this finalized partnership, ParkHub’s parking management system will help boost the VenueNext platform by showing real-time statistics and information about parking inventory, transactions and traffic flow via the VenueNext dashboard.

“Our primary goal is to give fans a better experience, and getting them to the stadium and parked as efficiently as possible is a big part of that,” said Jim Mercurio, Vice President of Stadium Ops & General Manager of Levi’s Stadium. “Working with ParkHub is another way we can enable each individual fan to customize their experience by enabling parking lot attendants to accept payments and validate QR/bar codes from pre-purchased parking reservations, all while speeding up the process for parking customers.”

Just last year, VenueNext closed $11.5 million in funding from Causeway Media Partners with participation from Live Nation Entertainment, Twitter Ventures, HP Aruba and other strategic investors.

“We’re excited to extend our reach through this partnership with VenueNext,” said George Baker, Sr., CEO & Founder of ParkHub. “We want to take the pain out of parking with our multiple products and API driven Platform approach for connecting various parking systems to fulfill our commitment of providing the guest with just what they need, the exact moment they need it — starting in the parking lots.”
