pac 12 technology youtbueInternational fans of PAC-12 Network programming will now have access to content through YouTube whenever they want, after the Network announced that it will distribute the channel on August 26th.

The channel will be the first live streaming 24 hour, seven days a week sports channel on YouTube and will feature live content as well as video on demand for anyone within the first 27 countries the service will launch in.

The Pac-12 Network plans on streaming over 850 live games and studio shows that offer insight and in-depth coverage for fans watching the channel. Unfortunately, major games such as Oregon versus Stanford will continue to be broadcast on ESPN, but re-broadcasts of those games will be available on the channel.

“Securing international distribution has been a top priority for us, especially knowing that we have so many alumni and a growing fan base outside of the United States. YouTube is synonymous with innovation and instantly provides us with incredible reach to serve our fans and universities” PAC-12 Networks’ President, Lydia Murphy-Stephens, told Pac-12.com about the potential in launching the network.

Fans abroad wishing to subscribe to the channel will have the option of two packages: $100 per year or a $15 per month offer.
