Yesterday, the official launch of a free, live audio streaming website and app, Rabble, was announced. The site and app, which was created by Rabble.TV, allows users to find alternative audio options for their favorite shows. Created for sports and TV show fans, Rabble pro allows you to listen to games broadcasted by fans using the app or site or you can broadcast on your own.
Another feature of the app allows users to vote on which broadcasters are the best and determines which sports broadcast or broadcasts about movies or TV shows rise to the top.
Co-founder of Rabble.TV, Ryan Tyrrell talked about how there are sports fans around the world that are tired of the emotionless, boring sportscasters and how Rabble allows users to have a unique, interactive sports experience. “Rabble allows fans to take charge of their game experience by giving them the ability to create or listen to live broadcasts from fans just as passionate as they are. Rabble is more than just an audio platform – it’s audio democracy.”
Rabble saw that fans of sports and TV shows are often engaging with each other via social media, texts, and blogs and decided to create a new forum where fans could do that interactively. Rabble wants to combine all of the second screen activities into a single game thread with the ability to replace or augment the existing audio set up.
