The NFL Mobile App is completely redesigned for this season’s action, bringing some brand new features in addition to old features with different pricing. Here is what NFL media is changing this year.

Completely doing away with last season’s fee of $5, Verizon customers now get full access to all local Sunday games, Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football and the NFL Network at no extra charge. Verizon customers can also opt to pay $1.99 to get NFL RedZone, the Sunday simulcast that airs “every touchdown from every game.”

NFL Now, a free video highlight, interview and news service within the NFL Mobile App and online, has undergone a facelift in its second year of operation. The program is now 24/7 on-demand and app users can now filter down the service to their favorite team’s “channel.”

The app also possesses a simplified way to view on-demand video content. Buying the NFL Game Pass for $99.99 will gain an NFL fan HD access to every game, after that game is finished. NFL Game Pass includes additional coaches film (highlights from different angles of the field) and condensed games, which clock in at about 30 minutes. Moreover, viewers can access past NFL video and programs courtesy of NFL Film. The NFL Game Pass fee takes over what was previously NFL Now Plus premium package. That extra content, which was previously an added on charge of $1.99-per-month, is only available with the NFL Game Pass.

The last addition is the rather interesting “Next Gen Stats,” which are exclusively available on the NFL app on XBOX, Windows 10 and the NFL Mobile App. Essentially, the “Next Gen Stats” are all of the data collected by the new radio frequency chips in players’ shoulder pads.
