NFL fans who are shown on television while at the stadium attending games no longer have to wonder if they know someone who happened to record their moment in the sun. 15 Seconds of Fame is taking care of that.
The company announced Tuesday that it has a multi-year partnership with the NFL to deliver fans their on-camera appearances from all NFL game broadcasts this season through the Super Bowl. Fans can take a selfie when signing up for 15SOF app, and video clips will be sent.
“We are thrilled to partner with 15SOF,” Blake Stuchin, Vice President, Digital Media Business Development at the NFL, said in a statement. “This partnership will give our fans an exciting new way to capture gameday memories and share them with their friends across social and digital media.”
In addition, through deals with NFL teams — the Washington Redskins are one team that partnered with 15SOF heading into this season — fans can access and share video board footage from inside stadiums by using the app.
Seven months earlier, 15SOF had announced a multi-year partnership enabling MLB fans to receive clips from their appearances on live baseball telecasts from all 30 ballparks throughout the regular season and postseason. With the NFL deal, many more fans will have that opportunity.
“NFL fans will now be able to receive personal video content that was unimaginable a short time ago,” 15SOF CEO Brett Joshpe said in a statement. “These nostalgic and epic moments are the ultimate keepsake from an already incredible gameday experience.”
