October 15 2015 – The New York Jets have partnered with Uplause, a developer of interactive fan engagement technology, to integrate the Uplause Authentic dB Meter as part of the 2015 Jets game day experience.  The Authentic dB Meter allows the team to accurately track crowd noise levels in real time and display that information on “PilotVision,” the team’s in-game videoboard entertainment programming service.

The Jets are one of five NFL teams currently using the Uplause Entertainment System technology and the first team to integrate crowd noise data into a fan loyalty and rewards program.  Crowd noise levels above 115 decibels trigger a “Fan Assist,” an element of the Jets Rewards program that awards points to Season Ticket Holders in attendance at Jets home games when fans help create a powerful home-field advantage.  In two home games so far this season, three noise-level Fan Assists have been awarded.

“We are very proud of our fans and the atmosphere they create inside MetLife Stadium, which gives the Jets a true home-field advantage,” said Seth Rabinowitz, the Jets’ Senior Vice President of Marketing & Fan Engagement. “It is only right that our fans get rewarded for doing their part by cheering on the Jets as loudly as possible. With the help of Uplause technology, we can properly showcase and acknowledge our fans’ critical role on game day.”

The Jets Uplause dB Meter sponsored by NRG Energy will be used at MetLife Stadium during key moments at all Jets home games this season.

“Uplause has growing recognition as a top innovator in sports venue and fan engagement technologies,” said Uplause President Ken Yaffe.  “We are privileged to put our innovation to work for the New York Jets and share their vision of rewarding fans for their dynamic support and role in elevating the game-day experience.”
