NBC Sports Regional Networks has launched a new live streaming mobile app called MyTeams that provides fans with an individual feed for their selected team or teams. Through the app, fans can watch live-games, pregame and postgame coverage, and also consume video highlights, podcasts, and written content.
MyTeams coverage will span a total of 25 professional teams—including six NFL teams, seven NBA teams, five NHL teams, and seven MLB teams. The app is available for free to fans anywhere in the U.S., but to access MyTeams content users will be asked to authenticate their NBC Sports Regional Networks cable subscription.
“MyTeams’ innovative design features individual feeds for each team,” an NBC Sports press release states. “Fans select their favorite team or teams, with no limit, in order of preference, to create a customized content offering that matches their passions, priorities and interests. The app’s user-friendly interface and creative presentation allow fans to navigate easily between all of their favorite teams.”
The coverage will be produced by seven NBC regional networks, including NBC Sports Bay Area, NBC Sports Boston, NBC Sports California, NBC Sports Chicago, NBC Sports Northwest, NBC Sports Philadelphia, and NBC Sports Washington. MyTeams is available on both iOS and Android devices from the App Store and Google Play.

NBC Sports continues to get creative with streaming options for its regional sports networks. Previously, NBC launched a “Philly Pass” for out of market fans seeking pregame and postgame coverage of Philadelphia sports, as well as “Blazers Pass” which lets fans stream select Portland Trail Blazers games. The MyTeams offering indicates that NBC Sports is determined to target fans with streaming packages that are unique to their individual markets.
