NBC Sports Offers International Streaming Of Notre Dame Football Games

Fans in 13 international countries will now have access to live streaming of all Notre Dame home football games during the 2017 season. NBC Sports Gold‘s “Notre Dame Football Season Pass” offers all seven games live and on-demand via Apple iOS and Android devices and online at NBCSportsGold.com.

Users can choose between purchasing a full-season package ($49.99) or viewing on a per-game basis ($9.99). While not available to consumers in the U.S., the package is available in Austria, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the U.K. In its history, Notre Dame has played football games in Tokyo and also most recently in Dublin in 2012 for the Emerald Isle Classic.

We’re happy to bring Notre Dame Football fans around the world access to their team through this new offering from NBC Sports Gold,” Portia Archer, VP, Direct-to-Consumer Services, NBC Sports Group, said in a statement. “In addition, with the per-game purchase option, international fans of Notre Dame’s opponents can also watch their team take on the Fighting Irish at Notre Dame Stadium.”

Streaming will begin Sept. 2 when Notre Dame opens the season at home against the Temple Owls. The Fighting Irish are looking to bounce back after a 4-8 season. NBC Sports has aired Notre Dame home games since 1991 and has a deal to do so through the 2025 season.

The direct-to-consumer pass will be powered by Playmaker Media, a company that streamed last year’s Rio Olympics.

This news comes as NBC Sports continues to move further into the OTT streaming space.
