Philly Pass marks the second regional pass offered as a direct-to-consumer product by NBC Sports, after the network launched Blazers Pass in November 2017 for fans of the Portland Trail Blazers. However, Blazers Pass is only available to Pacific Northwest residents within Blazers viewing territory and only covers the single major Portland team. In contrast, Philly Pass can’t be consumed by individuals within the Philadelphia area, including parts of Southern New Jersey and Delaware, but covers three of Philadelphia’s big five teams. (The Flyers and Union were not mentioned in the press release.) Another notable difference is that unlike Blazers Pass, Philly Pass does not appear to include games.
