NASCAR Becomes First Sports League To Launch DeskSite Video App

With the Daytona 500 on Sunday, NASCAR is partnering with DeskSite to introduce fans to a new way to experience stock car auto racing. NASCAR DeskSite — a new, interactive app that allows fans to view video content for free — was launched last week, making NASCAR the first professional sports league to launch DeskSite.

The content on the app, which is available offline as well as when connected to WiFi, will include post-race recaps, interviews with the drivers and breaking news.

“NASCAR.com represents a massive portal through which millions of fans engage with our sport,” said Colin Smith, vice president of NASCAR Digital Media said in a statement. “Now, thanks to NASCAR DeskSite’s automatic updates and offline viewing features, our core fans can continue to access the latest NASCAR news and content no matter where they are.”

Currently the app features content previewing the Daytona 500.. NASCAR DeskSite is available for Windows computers and tablets and Mac computers.
