Investment Will Help Scale Platform throughout Sports Ecosystem, Grow Team, and Expand Index into New Verticals

1/13/16 – Dallas, TX – MVPindex, Inc., the Social Media Index and Measurement Platform for Sports and Entertainment, today announced the close of a $7 million Series A investment round led by strategic investor groups in Dallas, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. MVPindex will use the investment to accelerate sales and marketing efforts across the globe in sports, expand its coverage in entertainment, and scale its index and social media valuation engine.

In conjunction with closing of the Series A funding, Keith Bank of KB Partners and Ed Wilson of New Form Digital will join the MVPindex Board of Directors.

Mr. Bank is the Founder and Managing Partner of Chicago based KB Partners, and has been a hands-on venture capital and angel investor in a variety of industries, including the medical, semiconductor, Internet, telecom, software, cable TV, sports, and social media verticals.  He is a founding board member of the Illinois Venture Capital Association and serves as Chairman of the Board of SteadyMed Therapeutics (NASDAQ:STDY), Versatile Sports Partners and Club Champion Golf.

Mr. Wilson is currently a partner at New Form Digital, a digital studio created in partnership with Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Craig Jacobson, Jim Wiatt, CAA, and Discovery communications. Most recently, Wilson served as executive chairman of Timeline Labs, a big-data social intelligence network, which was acquired by SeaChange International, and was President and CRO for the Tribune Company prior to that. Wilson serves as an advisor to Guggenheim Partners, is a member of the Boards of SMU and the Cox School of Business at SMU, the San Diego Zoo, and SeaChange International.
