The HyperX Esports Truck, North America’s first mobile esports truck, will return to Las Vegas for CES 2019. The truck formally known as Esports Arena Drive, made its debut at CES last year but has been renamed due to a multi-year naming rights agreement between HyperX and Allied Esports.
HyperX, the gaming division of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., confirmed the truck’s return to CES in a press release announced last week. When the vehicle is parked, the 80-foot, 18-wheel, 35-ton semi-trailer can transform its interior into a bonafide esports facility with the push of a button. The truck features a competitive stage for gaming with full production abilities, a studio, social media center, and a VIP lounge.
“HyperX is pleased to continue our relationship with Allied Esports,” said Daniel Kelley, director of corporate marketing, HyperX, in the press release. “Having the HyperX Esports Truck, and beyond, gives us even more opportunities to reach gamers at tournaments, festivals and sports events in 2019.”
In November, HyperX entered a partnership with Allied Esports that saw the Esports Arena Las Vegas in the Luxor Hotel & Casino be renamed the HyperX Esports Arena. The arena and truck are part of 10 Allied Esports-owned gaming facilities located across the U.S., Europe, and China.
The HyperX Esports Truck will appear at the Sands Conventions Center on the Las Vegas Strip during CES from Jan. 8-11. HyperX will also debut several new products at CES 2019, including a gaming headset and its first USB microphone for streamers and broadcasters.
