Minnesota Timberwolves’ Roster Talent And Arena Tech Are Simultaneously On The Rise

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx just recently provided the public with images of the new scoreboard that will be installed in the Target Center. Funded by the City of Minneapolis, Anschutz Entertainment Group, and the T-Wolves and Lynx, the scoreboard will be installed this summer during the WNBA Olympic Break.

“The new scoreboard is one of the signature moments of this renovation. It will have the single biggest impact on the in-game experience for our fans,” said Timberwolves and Lynx Chief Strategy and Development Officer Ted Johnson. “With more high-definition square footage than any venue in the region, fans coming to Timberwolves and Lynx games will experience an atmosphere that cannot be matched.”

This scoreboard will be the largest center-hung arena scoreboard in the Upper Midwest, which will also feature a total of 4,300 square feet of display room for the audience to see. Furthermore, fans will also experience four additional high definition screens that will be positioned in each corner of the arena. All of this is possible because of the help from Daktronics, the world’s industry leader in developing electronic scoreboards.

“Fans will be blown away by this scoreboard,” Johnson said. “Every person who walks into the arena will immediately be impressed and feel the energy buzzing through the crowd.”

For the Timberwolves, this upgrade comes while the roster is overflowing with young talent that has the potential to be something special. With star young players Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony Towns, Minnesota hopes that the entire franchise will be revitalized far beyond a massive new scoreboard.
