Kentucky Wildcat fans can now keep up with everything related to their athletic program through a brand new offering of digital platforms. The university is working with JMI Sports and SportsLabs to create an updated website and new apps which have not been enhanced since 2011, ages in technological time.

The collaboration with JMI Sports and SportsLabs will bring the Wildcat faithful an expansion of the digital product portfolio which includes a responsive web, enhanced mobile, integrated social media, live video streaming, video on demand and custom content.

JMI Sports, founded in 2006, is a provider of sales, marketing and project management services to universities and professional sports teams. The company is a believer of change and developing innovative programs to advance businesses and brands.

Founded in 2009, SportsLabs is a sports technology and media company based in Boulder, Colorado. Like JMI Sports, SportsLabs is looking to keep advancing sports media. “Working hand-in-hand with the university and JMI Sports, we believe we are building something extraordinary that will better deliver on the premium brand that is the University of Kentucky,” President of SportsLabs, John Burris, explained.

Fans can look forward to user-friendly schedules of all 22 teams at Kentucky where they can find rosters and biographies on the student athletes. Other features include the integration of social media and Wildcat TV. “We are committed to creating the best possible experiences for our fans, whether they are attending events or visiting our website,” said Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart in a press release.

Fans who may not be able to attend the games can still get live audio stream broadcasts and social posts from the game with the official UK gameday mobile app. There is also an all-sports mobile app for UK super fans to check scores, schedules, videos and news to every sport at the university.

Paul Archey, JMI Sports’ UK Sports and Campus Marketing president explained, “UK’s enhanced digital portfolio will enable new sales partnerships that will bring unique digital experiences to local and national sponsors.” The new site and mobile apps will only help expand the loyalty of Wildcat fans and create bigger opportunities for the university.
