Anthem Media Group, Inc. has announced a unique partnership with NBA Hall of Famer Julius Erving, better known as “Dr. J.” The partnership will make Dr. J a shareholder and brand ambassador for Anthem.

The goal of the deal is to help Anthem expand and grow awareness of their products such as the FNTSY Sports Network, which is a 24 hour 7 days a week network specifically geared for the fantasy sports player and RotoExperts.com, a site that produces specific fantasy sports content.

“As we continue to grow, we’re proud to welcome such a renowned and respected member of the sports and business world to our team,” said Leonard Asper, Chief Executive Officer of Anthem Media Group Inc.

“Julius’ work as a player and goodwill ambassador for basketball are well documented, but his work helping identify and grow emerging businesses is just as impressive, and we think his level of expertise on both fronts will be invaluable.”

Anthem believes Dr. J Enterprises, Erving’s branding and business company, can help to build relationships around the sports community, given that the enterprise and Dr. J, himself, have had a successful business track record for more than 40 years. Anthem Media Group seems to be in good hands with Dr. J as a brand ambassador, since his past affiliations have generated close to $2.5 billion in revenues for high-profile clientele.

Additionally, Erving sees business potential in the fantasy sports space.

In the press release announcing this partnership he said, “I am looking forward to helping Anthem grow its media brands.”

“Fantasy sports has become so mainstream and such a regular part of the daily conversation that I believe we can have tremendous success expanding the network. In addition, the growing interest in combat sports from boxing to mixed martial arts augurs well for the success of Fight Network.”
