House of Highlights’ New Live Twitter Show Debuts Thursday

House of Highlights, the social media phenomenon hosted by Bleacher Report, will debut a new monthly Twitter show on Thursday night at 8:30 p.m. ET.

After amassing more than 10 million followers on Instagram with a curated selection of sports video clips, House of Highlights is now moving to a new live format on a different social platform. The @HoHighlights show, which will last between 75 and 90 minutes, will include conversation, video stunts, scripted comedy, and real-time highlights. Fans will be able to interact with the show by using the hashtag #AskHOH. Free agent NBA guard Nick Young (“Swaggy P”) will guest star in the first episode.

Twitter first teased the development of this show back in April. TJ Adeshola, Twitter’s head of U.S. sports partnerships, touted the House of Highlights’ “ability to reach a culture forward, diverse and millennial audience is the perfect marriage to the nonstop, highlight-driven sports conversation on Twitter.”

“Think sports talk show meets late-night entertainment in the way that late-night shows cut to different segments,” Doug Bernstein, House of Highlights GM, added in a news release. “This show is an important growth opportunity for the House of Highlights brand as we evolve and engage with our community in an even more direct manner.”

House of Highlights’ creator, Omar Raja, said this summer, “We’ve been talking about original content, and I think that’s going to be a major focus these next six months.” This live show is the first major step for the brand as it moves beyond a platform known primarily for aggregating clips to one that creates its own content.
