SportTechie Takeaway:

If it seems like these behind-the-scenes shows have been popping up left and right, it’s because they have. There are plenty of examples of shows that either have been, or currently are being streamed. In February, Inside the Madness: University of Kentucky Basketball followed Coach John Calipari and his Kentucky men’s basketball squad.

Facebook Watch streamed Ball In The Familywhich, you guessed it, follows the always-entertaining Ball family. Even before the launch of Facebook Watch, Amazon Prime aired a docuseries that followed Jim Harbaugh and his Michigan football team.

Outside of the US, a recent report on the Indian sports industry suggested that non-live sports content, like Home Team, will make a significant impact on that country’s sports landscape.
