EverybodyFights, a cutting-edge gymnasium founded and operated by pro boxer George Foreman III, may soon be coming to a city near you. With a recent investment from Boston venture capital firm Breakaway, EverybodyFights is now poised to spread its system, modern amenities, and personalized training beyond its two Boston-area locations.

In an official statement, John Burns, president of Breakaway Ventures, calls EverybodyFights “…a transformational fitness and media business at the forefront of the boxing fitness revolution.” He hopes that with Breakaway’s investment, the boxing company founded in 2013 will soon become “…the next functional fitness powerhouse.”
EverybodyFights isn’t a traditional gym with typical instructors. Foreman requires his trainers not only to be certified in instruction, but also certified in areas of strength and conditioning often overlooked by traditional fight instruction. This is done through online courses, often attended by Foreman himself, that provide a more comprehensive understanding of the fighter’s body. Foreman touted the program in an interview with SportTechie, claiming, “this type of personal care and attention cannot be accomplished by a standard 2-day certification.”
The gym also utilizes a digitalized training program called BOXFIIT, an ever-evolving set of workouts that help train a fighter’s mind and body in preparation for a fight. The BOXFIIT app helps members stay prepared with workouts and strategies developed from actual championship fights, as well as personalized routines from trainers and other members of the community. “We want our trainers not only to inspire our clients, but also their peers,” said Foreman. The digital power of BOXFIIT allows for the rapid transmission of new instruction and strategy. “With the click of a button,” Foreman said, “we can deliver workouts anywhere in the world and have all of our trainers and gyms teaching the same workout, with the same music at the same time.”
EverybodyFights currently has two locations in Watertown and Boston, Massachusetts, and a third will be opening soon in New York City. If the BOXFIIT training program catches on in New York, it may not be long before EverybodyFights spreads nationwide.
