With less than a month until the most anticipated boxing match in decades, Floyd Mayweather will be will be having his media workout live streamed on Periscope by @CBSSports tomorrow, April 14, from the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, according to CBS Sports.
If you’re a boxing fan or simply curious about how Periscope can work in different sports settings then tune in (stream in?) at approximately 7pm ET/4pm PT on Tuesday as Mayweather goes through a workout with all eyes on him.
This Periscope stream will aim to offer unprecedented access on a new social platform that will only help to heighten the expectations and anticipation of the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight on May 2nd.
It will be interesting to monitor live sports events that are streamed on Meerkat or Periscope as this will begin to blur the lines between live television broadcast rights and social media content.
