Facebook Has A New Secret Soccer Game On Messenger

Facebook has launched a secret soccer game inside its messaging app. The object of the game is to keep the ball up by tapping the screen. The reason for the soccer game is to celebrate the summer of soccer (Euros and Olympics) around the world.

Facebook launched the same game with a basketball version earlier this year to celebrate March Madness. “Our little basketball Messenger game we launched for March Madness and NBA season was played over 1 billion times…” said David March the overseer of the Messenger app.

To play the game a user must have the newest version of the Facebook Messenger App. Once updated, a user can send the soccer emoji to a friend, then tap the emoji when it has sent and the game will start.

The basketball and soccer games aren’t the only games offered in Messenger. Users can have access to a secret chess game by sending “@fbchess play” to a friend then typing commands directing the pieces.

All of the games are only offered on the mobile app version of Messenger.
